I'm having a great time at the job I just landed. I'm still learning about printer cartridges, and I made a video about a story I heard in the office:

PWSA(USA)

I entered a nationwide logo contest ... and won! The task was to create a logo for this non-profit's annual seminar that revolved around their "Survivor" theme.

Hired as as Executive Assistant to manage correspondence, phone calls, reservations, calendars and to-do lists, I also updated literature and photography, created and maintained a custom database for targeted mailings and newsletters, coordinated Special Customer Seminars, managed national trade shows, and spearheaded a marketing campaign into a heretofore unknown customer base.

A few samples of updated and new literature created using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and MS Visio:

A newsletter created with Word and Photoshop:

In addition to arranging the booth for the annual national trade show, I also coordinated a seminar for CFS's best customers. This included mailings, questionnaires, maps, and agendas using Word and Photoshop; mail merges in Word and Excel; personalized email blasts using ACT! and its SwiftPage plug-in; slide shows and handouts in PowerPoint; and working with the wonderful staff at the Grandover Resort and Conference Center.

Being the Media Manager did not allow for much in the way of my portfolio, but once I automated the schedules and ad submissions, I spent my time helping my co-workers resolve their irritations. Whether programming phones and labeling the buttons; proofreading projects; organizing the supply room, kitchen, archive room, and everyone's offices; sorting and labeling three years worth of projects for the local top client; helping create a training manual for new custom project-tracking software; fixing crashed computers; or even installing non-slip treads on the backdoor steps during the rainy season; I found joy every day helping my friends and co-workers do their jobs in a happy and calm environment. On my birthday, the entire design team worked together to make me this card to say "Thank you."
